White Crater is a volcanic crater lake located in the Ciwidey area, about two hours from the center of Bandung. This destination is well known for its unique milky turquoise water, which can change color depending on the weather, temperature, and sulfur content.
Surrounded by hills and pale, dry trees, the White Crater offers a cool, misty, and slightly mysterious atmosphere, often giving it a “foreign-like” or cinematic vibe. Its natural beauty makes it a popular spot for photography, pre-wedding shoots, and relaxing nature trips.
Situated at an altitude of around 2,400 meters above sea level, the air is fresh and quite cold. Visitors should also be aware of the strong sulfur smell in certain areas and are advised not to stay too long near the crater.
