Jomblang Cave offers an extraordinary journey into what feels like a hidden world untouched by time. This remarkable destination is a vertical cave formed by a natural sinkhole and is part of an extensive underground system in the Gunungkidul area, just outside Yogyakarta.

To reach the bottom of the cave, visitors are carefully lowered approximately 50 meters using a rope system, creating a thrilling and unforgettable experience. At the base, a unique ancient forest can be found, enhancing the caveโ€™s mysterious atmosphere. From there, visitors continue walking through a dark tunnel that leads to Grubug Cave.

Inside Grubug Cave, the highlight of the journey awaits. Sunlight streams through an opening above, producing stunning rays often referred to as the โ€œheavenly light.โ€ This natural phenomenon illuminates the cave beautifully, creating a breathtaking and almost surreal view. Some believe that the sunken forest within the cave dates back to prehistoric times, adding to its unique charm.
