Cenderawasih Bay National Park is the largest marine national park in Indonesia, located in the waters of Papua. The park is famous for its extraordinary marine biodiversity and stunning natural beauty, making it one of the most important conservation areas in the country. Covering a vast marine area, Cenderawasih Bay National Park is home to beautiful coral reefs, tropical islands, mangrove forests, and diverse marine ecosystems.

One of the main attractions of this national park is the opportunity to swim and dive alongside whale sharks, which are known as the largest fish species in the world. Unlike in many other places, the whale sharks in Cenderawasih Bay are known for being calm and friendly toward humans, creating an unforgettable experience for divers and tourists.

The waters of the park are also home to hundreds of coral species, tropical fish, sea turtles, dolphins, and many other marine animals. Because of its rich underwater life, the park is considered one of the best destinations for diving, snorkeling, underwater photography, and marine research.

In addition to its natural beauty, Cenderawasih Bay National Park also has cultural value because several indigenous communities live around the area and maintain traditions closely connected to the sea. The combination of marine biodiversity, breathtaking scenery, and local culture makes this national park one of Indonesiaโ€™s most remarkable natural treasures.
