The architecture is inspired by the romantic round shaped buildings familiar to the Eastern Indonesian archipelago and a lot of the South Pacific islands. Materials used are in harmony with the natural landscape and local tradition, Thatched roofs, Coral and earth pigmented wall rendering, fine wood joinery and traditional decoration.
 
The resort has 10 bungalows built amongst a palm tree plantation edging the white sand beach of "Tanjung Sanghiang", a turquoise lagoon and coral reef with the "Segara" temple and its centuries old Kapok tree as its a setting.
 
Transfers from Bali are organized thorough the sailing catamaran Wakalouka or our exclusive motor yacht, both sailing daily to the island. During your stay at the resort, you will observe that the bay is a very active island port. Local perahus bringing everyday to the islanders - building materials, foods supplies, animals and of course tourists the fishing boats sail away every morning around 2 AM are and back by 7 AM. At he end of the day, the local people have a traditional "mandi" (shower) at the village baths located behind the Resort before joining the usual cockfight in front of the temple at 5 PM.
 
We don't have air conditioning, intercom, TV set or telephone in the rooms - in Waka Nusa we think differently than most of the hotels in Bali . The resort is designed to blend in with the beauty of the islands culture but with comfort and security.
