The Borobudur Temple was built in the eighth century by the Cailendra dynasty and is located at Magelang 90 km southeast of Semarang or 42 km northwest of Yogyakarta. While four hours from Semarang is the Dieng Plateau. Here are found some of the oldest Hindu temples of Java. The road to the Dieng Plateau passes through tobacco plantations and beautiful mountain scenery.

Day 01 : ARRIVAL  YOGYAKARTA  (D)     Meet and Greet with our Guide in the airport of Yogyakarta, proceed to BICYCLE trip, visiting Prambanan and passing the villages in the bank of SELOKAN MATARAM RIVER.  Prambanan temple is the biggest temple complex in Java. With 224 temples in the complex; three of them, the main temples are Brahma Temple in the north, Vishnu Temple in the south, and the biggest among the three which lies between Brahma and Vishnu temples is Shiva Temple (47 meters high). These three ancient masterpieces of Hindu architecture are locally referred to Prambanan Temple or Lorojonggrang Temple. Afterwards, proceed to Yogyakarta for check in. Dinner at local restaurant.   Day 02 : HALFDAY YOGYAKARTA CITY TOUR - WONOSOBO (B,L,D) After breakfast then visit “KRATON” - Sultan palace of Yogyakarta, officially named the "Kraton Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat", a grand and elegant example of Javanese architecture. Continue to TAMAN SARI water castle, then onward to visit a traditional batik and silver industry. Lunch at local restaurant proceed to Wonosobo Central Java. Check in the hotel. Diner at local restaurant.

 

After breakfast at Hotel, then BICYCLE trip to Dieng Plateau, we’ll take about 25 km ride from the hotel in the central of Wonosobo. Enjoy the site of some of the oldest Hindu temples on Java. These 50-foot high monuments stand on a crater floor amidst sulphurous fumes. The road to the Dieng Plateau passes beautiful mountain scenery of Dieng Plateau about 2000 meters above sea level, passing ricer fields, picturesque villages with their local markets. This site has very beautiful mountain views. You can find resturated temples build around year 800 there, colorful lakes and steaming ones. Gatotkaca & Dwarawati temple were two of some sites, Sikidang Crater and Warna Lake; the most beautiful lake such as Sikidang lake, Tourist Forest; The magnificent water spring “ Bimo Lukar “; Kalianget hot water Spring or Mangli swimming pool. Lunch at local Restaurant. Depart to Magelang check in to Manohara hotel, the only hotel in the Borobudur temple. Free at leisure time.  

Day 04 BOROBUDUR SUNRISE - AIRPORT  (B,L)
Wake up call at 04.30 a.m. to see wonderful sunrise at Borobudur temple then BICYCLE trip around the village of Borobudur temple. Lunch at local restaurant. Depart to Yogyakarta airport for onward flight.
