LAVA TOUR 9Days 8Nites

Mount Semeru is one of the highest mountains on the Java Island. It is a stratovolcano in the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. It covers some 800 square kilometers in the centre of East Java. The beautiful and attractive panorama or special atmosphere can be found here beside its cool and fresh air. Semeru is a highly popular tourist site in the province, even among foreign tourists.

Day 1   ARRIVAL YOGYAKARTA - CHECK IN HOTEL
Arrival in Yogyakarta, meeting service with our Guide and transfer to the hotel in Yogyakarta.

Day 2   LAVA TOUR – MANOHARA (B,L)
After Breakfast, leaving hotel to Kinah Rejo Village, It is a village hit by the last eruption 2010 where Mr Maridjan became victim and passed away. Now the Merapi guard were inherit  to his son is Mr Asih as new Merapi guard, he was ordered by Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X as a king of Yogyakarta to keep the Merapi Mountain. He stays and lives as door keeper of Merapi mountain. This tour will take about 3 hours and we'll proceed to Magelang, on route we'lll pass some village in the slope of Merapi as it's Salak Pondoh fruit production. Check in Manohara hotel.

Borobudur Sunrise - Travelindo.comDay 3   BOROBUDUR SUNRISE - YOGYAKARTA CITY TOUR (B,L)
Wake up call at 04.00 then prepare to see the Borobudur Sunrise. At 04.30, visit the magnificient Borobudur sunrise and explore the temple. Afterwards, check out and visit “KRATON” - the magnificent palace of Sultan and TAMAN SARI water castle. Then, onward to visit a traditional batik and silver home industry. Lunch is provided at local restaurant. After that, visit PRAMBANAN temple, one of the most majestic temple site in South East Asia, which is erected in the 10 th century by ancient Hindu- Javanese rulers. Then continued Shopping handicraft along the way MALIOBORO street, well known with various goods and handicraft. Afterwards, check in to the hotel in Yogyakarta.

Day 4   YOGYAKARTA – MALANG   (B,L)
After breakfast at hotel then depart to Malang, check in to the hotel in Malang. Malang is the nearest place to reach Tumpang before ahead to Ranupane-Semeru.

Lava TourDay 5   MALANG - RANUPANE -RANUKOMBOLO        (B,LD)
B’fast at hotel in Malang then drive to Tumpang by Jeep 4X4 to Ranopani village, through marvelous countryside which displaying terraced apple orchards. In addition, you can also visit the rain forest with possible sightings of leaf-eating monkeys. Lunch will be provided in Ranopani. Trek through a graded trails amidst mountain shrubs and bushes for about 13 km to reach the tranquility of Lake (Ranu) Kumbolo (2,400 m) in RanuKumbolo. Overnight in Ranukumbolo.

Day 6  RANUKUMBOLO - KALIMATI            (B,L,D)
After having your breakfast, go further to Kalimati (2,700 m), an open savannah providing the best plain to set up the tent as well as providing best place to monitor continual puffs jetting out from the vent of Mt. Semeru. Lunch is provided in Kalimati. Rest and relax in Kalimati, we’ll also let you to trek to Sumber Mani (the only Water Spring around the Kalimati), until the time for Dinner.

Day 7   KALIMATI - SUMMIT ARCHAPADA – KALIMATI - RANUKUMBOLO (B,L,D) 
You can enjoy your tea or coffee and light snack at midnight, about 24.00. Then, we start trekking to Summit Arcapada (2,900 m). We can also attempt the most strenuous part of the journey to the summit (3,676 m). The brilliant sunrise (depends on the weather) on the top highlighted by continual puffs and sometimes eruptions getting out from the vent are the breathtaking rewards (caution: stay a minimum 500 m away from the vent). Some Bread, juice and chocolate as B’fast will be provided at the Summit. Afterwards, descend to Kalimati. We’ll provide lunch here then go down to Ranu Kumbolo and arrive in the afternoon. Overnight at Tent. Dinner will be provided in Ranu Kumbolo.

Day 8  RANUKUMBOLO – RANUPANE - BROMO (B,L,D)
Lava Tour - TravelindoBreakfast is provided in Ranukumbolo then go down to Ranupane. Upon arrival, we’ll provide lunch in Ranupane, take a jeep drive along the Tengger mountain ridge and down to the calderas crossing the sea of sand to reach Mt. Bromo (2,392 m) with its awesome active crater. Afterwards, check in to the hotel in Bromo. Dinner at hotel.

Day 9  BROMO SUNRISE – SURABAYA AIRPORT (B)
Wake up call at 04.00, leaving from Hotel by Jeep to take you into the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park; first to Mt. Pananjakan to see the breathtaking sunrise and then to the “Sea of  Sand “ where you can climb the crater of Mt. Bromo. After this adventurous trip, you will back to the hotel to have your breakfast. Next, transfer to Surabaya airport for onward departure flight.
