Kaliurang located at  25 km from the north of Yogyakarta.Over 900 meter high on the slope of Mount Merapi one the most activate and destructive volcanoes in the world. Merapi Mountain full of mystical symbols of life and is truly one of the world's most beautiful mountains. Our profesional trekking guide  will give you an explaination about the last huge eruption 2010, visit  the location where the village hit by the last eruption and material eruption which still threat a people around the river sourcing from Merapi mountain.

 

 

Day 01 ARRIVAL YOGYAKARTA - VOGEL HOMESTAY
Our driver will pick you at the airport or hotel in the city centre, transfer to Kaliurang Mountain resort. Stay overnight at Vogel's Home Stay, simple but clean.

Day 02 MERAPI SHOFT TREKKING
Wake up at 04.00 AM you will start the tour, have your light breakfast at homestay. Tour accompanied with professional guide of Merapi. He will take you to the best position to see the sunrise, then explore the depths of Kalikuning river. Within  five-hour return walks through the rainforest, through the valley, and down the Kalikuning river sourced from Merapi, you will see the huge material eruption of the Mount Merapi on the last eruption 2010. Descend and breakfast will be given. Taking a rest for a while at homestay and you will be transfered to your hotel in Yogya or transfer to the airport for next destination.
