BIAK PADAIDO & YAPEN BIRDING TOUR PACKAGE
Biak is Indonesia's eastern gateway. During world war II, Biak was to be one of the
home bases of the Allied Forces when attacking the Japanese to used Biak as defense
base before finally withdraw. While Yapen island is home to the typical birds
of paradise, Parrots, cockatoos and other. On the other side, you are also challenged
to explore its natural land with specific sceneries.
Below is our suggestion for this program:
Day 1 : BIAK - Arrival (LD)
Upon Arrival at BIAK Airport, meeting service then transfer to Intsia Beach hotel ( sea few )
for check in. Lunch, then by coach City tour visiting Japanese
cave, birds park, Bosnik beach at noon. Afterwards, late afternoon return to your
hotel for dinner, then overnight.
Day 2 : Hotel - RURBAS (BLD)
After breakfast at hotel, then transfer to pier for excursion by outrigger
boat in one hour to OWI and RURBAS Island, for snorkeling. Lunch box and mineral water provided, Dinner and overnight
in the
island.
Day 3 : RURBAS – MIOSINDI – AIKAKAPO (BLD)
After simple breakfast, then by outrigger boat explore to YAPEN. In two hours sailing, stop at MIOSINDI and watching the group of flying-dogs hanging on trees along the beach. After
activities here, then continue the trip by boat to AIKAKOPA in an hour. Arrive at Aikakopa, dinner and overnight in the tent or hut.
Day 4: AIKAKOPA (BLD)
At 05.00 a.m., start trekking escorted by guide in
30 minutes to the jungle for observe the birds of YAPEN. Trekking around, then back to your base camp. You can go and make the
same birds' observation on the spot for Birds of Paradise. Lunch, dinner, and
overnight
(still at AIKAKOPA).
Day 5: AIKAKOPA – AIBAI ISLAND (BLD)
At 05.00 a.m., start trekking escorted by guide in
30 minutes to the jungle for observe the birds of YAPEN. Trekking around, then
back to your base camp. After lunch, return to AIBAI ISLAND by boat (an hour). You can snorkel and relax at AIBAI ISLAND. Dinner and overnight in this island.
Day 6 : AIBAI - BIAK (BLD)
After breakfast, then snorkeling or start returning by outrigger boat to BIAK, to your hotel Intsia Beach.
Day 7 : BIAK - Out (B)
After breakfast, then transfer to Airport for your next flight destination.
