Tembi as a house of culture a process of developing cultural village based on
the environment, which established in 2007, located in Tembi- Timbulhardjo, Bantul
Yogyakarta.
"The past is always recent" is the vision of Tembi the past is the standing foundation
for the present and future. History can be seen as an Experience in the process
of "Becoming".
Tembi presenting a cultural village environment facility as part of the conservation
effort of the Javanese traditional house of Limasan.
The facility consist of five old age of Limasan houses (made in 1940's), a west
of Javanese traditional house and a new house with combinated a new architectural
design and Limasan. |
The facilty also has a pond which function as a swimming pool and it is called
Belik (a Javanese traditional spring pond). All facilties given a name based on
the historical's life journey of its owner.
